Franklin Edward Hamilton was born May 13, 1940, in Maquoketa, Iowa,
to Wayne and Ruth (Harding) Hamilton. He graduated from Delmar
High School in 1959. He married Marilyn Holdgrafer on October 27, 1962
at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Preston, Iowa.
Franklin was a car detailer for 40 years at Rotman Motor Co. in Maquoketa,
retiring in 2005. He also cleaned area businesses.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a former member
of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club in Maquoketa.

Franklin is survived by his wife, Marilyn Hamilton of Maquoketa;
one sister, Verna (Gary) Heuertz of Davenport;
one brother, Larry (Donna) Hamilton of Clinton;
several nieces and nephews and two aunts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in infancy.

Franklin E. Hamilton, 69, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at Genesis Medical Center West Campus, Davenport, Iowa.

Memorials may be given to Camp Courageous.
