Nicholas "Nick" Peiffer was born March 4, 1940, in Cascade, Iowa,
to John and Frances (Koob) Peiffer. He married Patricia Shady
on May 25, 1963 in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Nick was a machinist, working at Caterpillar in Mt. Joy, Iowa, from
1972 - 1988 and at Pontiac from 1988 - 2000 before he retired.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Minonk, Illinois,
and former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa, Iowa.
He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus member and was a member
of the Bagerland F-100 Ford Club.

Nick is survived by his wife, Patricia Peiffer of Minonk, Illinois;
four daughters, Lori (Gary) Arterberry of Bunceton, Mo,
Cathy (Jay) Pieper of Maquoketa, Jean Yarolem of Rochelle, IL, and
Nancy Peiffer of Maquoketa;
four sons, Tom Peiffer of Maquoketa, Ed Peiffer of Rochelle, IL,
Kevin (Becky) Peiffer and Jeremy (Heather) Peiffer, both of Minonk, IL;
10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 3 step grandchildren;
three brothers, Joe (Rose) Peiffer of Cascade, Don (Agnes) Peiffer of
East Troy, WI, and Herb Peiffer of Onslow; &
one sister, Mary Irene Peiffer of Onslow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Merle Peiffer, and one
grandson, Matthew Arterberry.
