Charlotte Mary Mullin was born July 3, 1909 in Britt, Iowa, to Hugh H. & Mary (Hatterscheid) Mullin. She graduated from Britt High School and attended Iowa State College, where she met Henry. She married Henry J. Dickinson on August 19, 1930 in Britt, Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1987. She lived in Sabula, Iowa, from 1933 to 1957 and in Maquoketa from 1958 until 2006, when Charlotte moved to Ankeny. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Women's Club, Retired Teachers and Maquoketa Country Club. She enjoyed card playing, crocheting and reading. Most important to her was her faith and family.

Charlotte is survived by 3 daughters, Joanne (Bernard) Hansen of Davenport, Marge (Warren) Metheny of Ankeny, and Mary Lou (Leo) Harms of Sun City, Arizona; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, Kathryn, a granddaughter, Julia Anne Metheny.

Charlotte M. Dickinson, 100, of Ankeny, formerly of Maquoketa, Iowa, died Sunday, November 22, 2009, at Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny.
