Jean Ellen Gordon was born December 16, 1960 in Monticello, Iowa,
to Larry and Yvonne (Pauli) Gordon. She graduated from Olin High School
in 1979 and attended Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids for Oral Medical Technician. She married Merle Rickels on September 1, 1989 at St. Paul Methodist Church in Olin, Iowa.
She was a marketing representative at Silvercrest in Anamosa.
To everyone who knew her, Jeannie "Puddie" was known as the most
wonderful, caring, beautiful, giving, loving wife, mom, and friend.
Her smile and laughter will be missed by everyone she touched.
To know her and love her as an amazing gift.

Jean is survived by her husband, Merle Rickels of Olin;
children, Michael Rickels at home and Jenny Rickels of Olin;
one granddaughter, Madison Rickels;
one sister, Jane (Brad) Rasmussen of DeWitt; and
a special friend "Adie" of Olin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
